49ers weekend!
Have you ever been to St Louis? Well as of New Year’s Eve 2012, Matt and I have! We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on Dec 22, and for Christmas I bought Matt tickets to the 49ers game in St Louis. So the game was really two fold. Tickets for Matt=Christmas. Trip to St Louis=Celebration of five years of LOVE. While there we were witness to several things:
- Wind. Holy Crap. Wind.
- A new love of chapstick
- The Arch… SNOOZE.
- Anthony Dixon, a player for the 49ers, kindly referred to in the Davis household as Honey Badger… and honey badger didn’t care we stared, pointed, and talked quietly to each other about him as he crossed the street. Matt tweeted him later, and honey badger still didn’t care who we were. Jerk.
- Our team winning a football game! This was exciting because our Florida Gators let us down earlier this year.
- Matt’s ice dancing skills… I was more of a witness and it was amazing. He’s a real gem on the ice.
New Year’s Eve we did what any fiery hot couple in love would do… We ate way too much at dinner and passed out by 11. Well I passed out, and Matt woke me up when Justin Bieber came on TV. Your heart strings tug, even when you’re sleeping you know? I however, dismissed his nudging and told him and the Biebs to put a sock in it… I don’t like being woken from my princess slumber. New Year’s Day was the game, and it was a lot of fun. It was in a dome and our seats rocked. The 49ers won, so that was nice for us, and solidified spending all that money to go. Had they lost, we might as well have taken our money and set it on fire and done a little dance around it… With Matt’s ice dancing skills, we could have come up with a killer routine.

Christmas Card.
This year I decided we should send out Christmas cards. Not unreasonably overpriced hallmark ones, but a card that included images of our pretty mugs. Matt was hesitant at first, but after some begging and pleading, he agreed. If you were wondering, there are a few rules for making a Christmas card people are sure to cherish for years to come:
- Blue eye shadow. Lots.
- *A winning orbit smile*
- Blinking.
- Pensive stares.
- Just the right amount of bang curl.
- Your grandparents Christmas attire. From 1970.
Matt: Do you think it will rain today? Ashlee: Perhaps. |
Matt: I blinked in that one... Ashlee: Is that food in my teeth? |
Matt: I blinked in that one too.. Ashlee: This sweater makes me look fat.. Doesn't it? |
Matt: The owl just spoke to me! Ashlee: Oh Crap.. |
Matt: There must be dust in the air or something... Ashlee: Mental note: There's no such thing as too much aqua net. |

Crystal, Rob & Dresden.
Good Morning! What a weekend! On Saturday, I met up with my friends Crystal and Rob, and their little boy Dresden to take some family photos. I've known Crystal for a couple years and when we first met, I told her she sounded just like Sarah Palin, and we've been great friends ever since. We have a lot in common. We're always on time. We love the movie Newsies. We're crazy good bakers. I love when she has get togethers, because I always know there will be yummy food. Anyway, now that I'm hungry thinking about the oreo balls she makes, enjoy a snip-it of some of the photos we took Saturday!
